So, this illustration was actually meant for my figure drawing practice, but with the course of its process, it had changed its direction to more of an abstract idea which even I didn’t know or had planned to represent anything in particular through this illustration. I was simply on an adventure to make things interesting, therefore I needed to twist the realism out of the reference image to make it look unconventional. Later, however, after completion, the guy did look like someone who’d just been kissed and had a butterfly stomach. Hence, this gotta be pretty much the concept behind this illustration that was made in a very candid manner.
This illustration was made using watercolour and coloured pencils on 100% cotton hot pressed paper.
